You recommend leaving my car with you for at least a day, but can’t I wait in the office while you figure out the problem?
Automotive mysteries take time to figure out. Sometimes, it’s quick and easy, but more often, it’s not. Even if we charge one hour for diagnostic, we often spend more time diagnosing or just making sure. Also, not all of the time spent diagnosing the problem is “active” time. We often have to wait for a machine to do something, wait for supplies, or end up spending additional time trying to reproduce the problem. We understand it can be hard to leave your transportation with us, but we’re dedicated to GETTING IT RIGHT.
I can get cheaper parts online. Can you put them on for me?
With the advent of the internet, anybody anywhere can find loads of product options. We always use the best parts available - these parts are necessary to ensure quality of service. Remember, if you have a problem with anything we’ve fixed, we’ll make it right for 2 years or 24,000 miles. This warranty comes with every service. We balance part availability, price, and brand in order to back up this warranty. When you provide a part that doesn’t perform up to standards, even if it’s your fault, you are not getting the best possible experience - and that is the most important part of our service!
Another shop said I need an engine. Do you install used engines?
WE DO INSTALL ENGINES BUT: Almost every time, the problem is one that can be repaired. Sometimes, installing a used motor is cheaper than repairing the existing one. However, when we disassemble and repair the engine you already have, we can meticulously go through all affected components and renew everything. In addition, when we do end up replacing an engine (because a new one is far too expensive or simply unavailable), we always go through and check everything - this usually leads to a lot of labor making sure everything is in good shape - we never “install and forget.” This way, we can ensure years of life and happy driving!
